Ohariu Lodge is a self-catering homestay, situated on the owner's property but with privacy and separate access.
Because we know you'll have so much fun exploring our local environment, Wellington City and the Greater Wellington region, we offer a minimum two nights' stay. However...
If you are attending a wedding or other special event in Ohariu Valley, perhaps at Boomrock or Ohariu Farm, we will be pleased to accommodate you for one night at the special rate of NZ$250 for two people (plus $50 for each extra person).
Due to the unfenced stream adjacent to the lodge, the property is not suitable for small children.
The lodge is a strictly non-smoking environment.

Do I have to book?
Bookings for Ohariu Lodge are advisable, and sometimes essential.
This applies especially for those occasions when Wellington really turns it on, with events such as:
The Sevens Rugby Tournament World of Wearable Art Awards International Festival of the Arts Fringe Festival Cuba Street Carnival (CSC parade pictured left) and concerts by international stars such as David Bowie, Elton John or Joe Cocker at local venues.
Of course, if the All Blacks are playing at Westpac Stadium, all Wellington accommodation is at a premium!
